Welcome to the theater! For this space, Borrós Interiorisme has opted for a modern and attractive interior design, which generates expectation from the first moment and offers the best welcome to visitors.
The experience of going to the theater begins when you cross the lobby, a great reason why Borrós Interiorisme has been commissioned to update and renovate the lobby of the Kursaal theater in Manresa (Barcelona).
For this space, Borrós has opted for a modern and attractive interior design that generates expectation from the first moment and offers the best welcome to visitors.
The first impression of the theater that takes the public is this area and, for this reason, a series of elements have been studied that put the visitor in context, who at all times receives inputs of actually being in a singular theater. The curtains from floor to ceiling, the illuminated screens with the posters of the moment, the corporate image of the Kursaal present in different details…
In the renovation project, Borrós Interiorisme has not only changed the image of the space, it has also carried out acoustic actions to improve the comfort of the public, using decorative elements such as velvet curtains that improve the acoustic quality of the space and allow control and air conditioning regulation. All incandescent lighting has been replaced with energy efficient LED technology.
The lighting, taken care of to the maximum, precisely accentuate some elements that allow the visitor’s gaze to be guided to where it is most interesting.
In some areas an interesting play of light and shadow has been created, in a clear allusion to the stage and the world of theatre.
A central space is also designed in the lobby that emulates the ceiling of a stage, with bars, cables and theatrical spotlights.
In addition, large LED screens have also been included, since they are visually more attractive.
With them, traditional printed posters are eliminated, with the consequent reduction of paper consumption.
